With this "stay at home" order going on I not only had time to completely tear down/clean many of my firearms but also respooled my fishing reels preparing for the upcoming season plus tore down/relubed all my reels. Last several years been using P-Line CXX X-tra Strong Copolymer line(below) which is a great thin diameter line with minimal stretch. Has a high strength to diameter ratio. I fish a lot of rough/high abrasion structures(oyster beds, rocks etc) & this is the best line I found to handle about any condition. Can be bought in reasonably priced bulk spools (600, 1,000, 3000 yds etc). As with most copolymer formulated line...very soft plus easy on rods eyes vs some of the very thin diameter braided line. Curious any of you fisherman here...what line is your favorite??

Funny you mention fishing "line". I just ordered what is known as "European fly line" for my fly outfit. The fly line is very thin. Thus the top part of the water column....which usually moves faster than the bottom, will not be able to drag the wet fly along at a faster rate. Trout don't like unnatural movement of their food. I also ordered some multi-colored leader line to use instead of a typical strike indicator.

Sounds like a winner Dave!! Now days thin line diameter to reduce water resistance is really an advantage. I know while drifting for flounder...the thinner diameter lines allow you to use a lighter weight which less likely spooks flounder when they first grab the bait. Plus minimal stretch line really helps getting a solid/direct hook set.
