You can't go wrong with an accubond for deer. They're actually a very soft bullet but they can't over expand or fragment.Any bad reports that you read about were most likely people simply blaming a bad shot on the bullet.I've heard the stories about partitions not expanding and that's practically impossible. In almost every case, they over-expanded and then the core just punched through, leaving a small exit wound. We've had excellent success with Barnes TTSX's as well.People have argued with me that they only expand at high velocities but they never actually used them themselves.I actually think the TTSX's perform a little better but not every rifle likes them.I've never had a rifle that won't shoot an accubond.

In the Federal Premium the 6.5CM 140 grain Accubonds are loaded to 2675fps and at 400 yds still maintains velocity over 2,000 fps. Has an excellent BC of .509. The Federal Fusion 6.5CM 140 grain BC is .439 which still isn't too shabby. Coming to the conclusion that the 140 Nosler Accubond will handle any deer/bear encounter I throw at it assuming ole Loggy can do his part!

He's likely forgotten more on the tax law foreign corporations than I ever knew. Anyone wanna talk about Subpart F? Even I would struggle with that one. (BTW....my former partner was the go to guy for that. When Subpart F topic came up in the office.....I would get a shiver and then try to hide from the conversation.)

You know Dave I'm starting to wunder bout that!! Funny...a few months before retiring I went out and bought a new NILS Finnish ice auger, an Otter Sled and a couple new jigging rods/tip-ups which have only seen action once!! Had to drive up to Rose Valley Lake in Lycoming County to find ice. Even up North it's been a rarity. Probably should sell that stuff then we will have all kinda ice!!

Those otter sleds make dragging deer pretty easy

Great use of the Otter Sled there Dutch!! What's also nice is you can slide one in the back of an SUV and no issues with blood on the interior.
