I'd sure like to just not buy anymore rifles though. And by rights I should sell this 7mm. I ended up taking it in a trade because it was the only way i could get rid of my model 94 30-30 flatband. Still, I told my wife after hunting season I'm just keeping two 30-06's and her Marlin 30-30 and now I didn't keep my word. All because nobody seems to have cash for guns right now they just want to trade, trade, trade. On a lighter note Shydas did just sell my 41 magnum I had on consignment so that puts some cash back in the shooting budget.

The muzzle velocity he uses for the 264 mag is horrific. He's using downloaded factory ammo in a 24" barrel or a 22" Featherweight. His 2,940 fps is far off the 3,200 fps that the 264 originally produced with Winchester factory ammo with a dual diameter 140 grain spitzer out of the original 26" barrel. Yeah we can all take a detuned factory load that doesnt have a dual diameter bullet (for freebore) anymore and run it in a short barrel and then give a dog like the Creedmoor every advantage and then make a comparison. And with all that the Creed doesn't pass it until beyond the 400 yard mark!
Imagine if he loaded the 264 flat out in a 26" barrel! All this did was convince me the 264 is far superior. And that 9" twist can be quickly remedied with a build.

Can you get more velocity out of the 264? Sure. Velocity brings more recoil.
264 vs Creed is sorta apples to oranges.
Yes, I can load a 264 down, but I can just go buy and off the shelf Creed, for a lot less than a build.
It's all in what ya want

It is. And all I want is a 30-06 but I keep getting distracted by other things.

I need something. I'm actually getting tired of it all. But then there's a side of me that wants to keep tinkering with new stuff. I can't win.

Lol. I have a box of ammo I'll give you next time I run into you. I could use that to sight in a scope, if I ever get another one
