We did a hunt at Royal United this morning. Of course I forgot to take a camera so I had to wait for someone to send me a photo or two. Pat brought his two setters and Ms. Doris and I took Mugs. Dave and Larry were along as shooters. I will post more photos as I get them. In this photo, all three setters are trying to nail a running pheasant. Dave and Larry are the people closest to the camera. Ms. Doris is just behind Dave's right shoulder. Belle is backing Rosie's point. The Mutt

Did mugs scold the hunter with the gun at his side and hands in his pocket on the way through, telling him to get ready ?

Mutt,do you have any good SGL's down there to hunt?If you're ever up to s small road trip,I'd love to see you and Muggs take a trip up here to SGL44.It would be worth the drive just to see what can be accomplished when an organization like PF and the PGC work together.I would actually classify it as world class pheasant hunting.

Actually Doug, that is the most heavily stocked SGL in the state. In the middle of no where, it gets more pheasants than it should.

That it is but it's massive.I was there at daylight this past saturday.I got there early to get a parking spot and barely got one. It's huge, has excellent habitat and it's easy to get away from other hunters. It's an absolute gem. This is my third year hunting it and I haven't even scratched the surface on what's there.

Told my brother he should go there as a destination hunt. Plus, no where near as many ticks as where he hunts in Berks County

333 out side of State College is a good one too. It can get crowded, but you can usually find a empty area, especially during the week.
