I've not had to change my front sight. OTOH, my front sights have all been a "bead" type. If your front sight is a blade type then I dunno. Should still be fine but I've never shot a peep with a front blade.

Willy you should be fine with a blade in the front. I run a blade on my 45/70 in the front with a Skinner peep on the back. Works great.

will I have to change my front sight also? I mean right away ! Maybe, you'll only know by shooting it. I had to go to a higher front sight on my Remington 7600, but all the muzzle loaders and the Winchester 94 were OK.
