How many times have you taken a rifle out of the gun cabinet to shoot in in for deer season and the scope is not hitting the same as when you put it away after season ? The same scope and mounts and loads and stock ! What do you feel could have caused this to happen ?

It has happened to me. Some say the humidity and temperature changes can affect the stock (forearm) if it is wood.

That's why it pays to check each pre-season. And I agree with TK that humidity and temperature are possible reason this will happen, especially with a wooden stock rifle. My synthetic stocks rarely need any adjustments.

Never. Because I've never had a gun that I didn't shoot throughout the year.
