My son traded a bow he had won to a fellow who won this rifle ! It came with 3 boxes of Remington shells.
We took it to the range after we put bases and a scope on it . I had my ole bore sighter with me so we bore sighted it at the house . The first 3 rounds were a clover leaf but left of center and a little high . We done a few clicks and got it about an inch high at 100 and centered. Next we shoot 3 rounds each and there it was a clover leaf again from each of us ! Man what a good shooting gun right out of the box and with factory shells !! I told him that it is a heck of a gun and I wish I had got one ! He tells me to take it home with me ? I told him Son I have enough guns that I don't use in the cabinet but thank you for the offer !

Before Weatherby decided to move their production to the Bath Iron Works in Maine, Weatherby rifles were manufactured by Howa. I have four of them, and every one is a tack driver. Howa has made good rifles for a very long time.

And Weatherby Vanguards are still made by Howa. Howa builds great guns.

Today, if any firearm manufacture want's to remain competitive and profitable, they have to make very accurate firearms right outta the box. My Marlin (JM) is very accurate as is my Savages.
