Saw this on Facebook today. I like the concept. Would be alot easier to use than a trail mower when mowing food plots and trails. Don't know what the cost is.

Ouch. Liking it alot less now. LOL. I could buy an older tractor with bushhog for that. Of course in time their may be some cheaper options. The sideshift would be handing for mowing out logging roads though.

Been using a 6' flail mower behind my Ford Jubilee since the early 70s. Sooner have a good flail mower than a bush hog any day. Ain't much 2" and under that a flail won't turn into chips. Weeds and brush, even easier. Once mowed a 25 acre field that had reverted to weeds, thick brush and mostly honey locust saplings over the years. Impending housing development. Cleared the entire parcel in about a week. Nothing but "mulch" left of the vegetation.
Nice thing about a front mounted mower, though, is that you can see what you're getting into and won't get a crick in yer neck doing it, constantly looking back.
One of my farmer neighbors up at camp rented a flail for on the front of his skid loader a few years ago. Ground hades out of the multi flora rose in his pastures with it and anything else he didn't want there. Noisy contraption and kicked up tons of dust, when he ground the roots into oblivion.

I watched that video. That machine didn't seem to do more than a lawn tractor can do. And lawn tractors are half the cost or less. Put chains and wheel weights on a lawn tractor and me thinks the mowing would be the same.
