Why can't flintlock come in for the same length of time as archery ? Now that cross bows are legal ? Maybe not you folks but i am way more accurate with my cross bow than with a flintlock ? So why can't the seasons be combined as it is after Christmas ? How nice it would be to go into the forest and fields when the weather is nice and the foliage is colorful !

Because the bow hunters have good organization, and do a great job lobbying the PGC. The ending result is the PGC board has always catered to the bow hunting crowd.
Bow hunters do not want ML in "their" season, at least that is what I have heard and read on various sites over the years.
Not knocking bow hunters, remember I bought a crossbow a couple months ago, so I R gunna B a bowhunter 2.

I'm an avid bow hunter and Flintlock hunter. Not a big fan of inlines, but they really don't effect me in anyway. I rifle hunt as well and really enjoy it. I feel the current seasons are set up perfectly. No need for change. JMHO

IMHO, with the average age of the majority of hunters increasin, the PGC will continue to make it easier to harvest the number of deer they want harvested

I feel that since the first crack at the bucks is only for the camafouge archers, they (PGC) should allow the flintlock camoflage hunters enjoy the early season without the rediculous orange requirement as the bow hunters enjoy. Stalking deer (movement) would be impossible with a bow if you had to have orange on, so why include orange for muzzleloading folks when archers don't have to wear it? Predator hunters, waterfowl hunters, crow hunters, dove hunters all use guns. So do muzzleloader hunters. PGC is too ignorant to realize they are restricting themselves out of business!! How about the early camo hunters (bow and flintlock) nuff said......they won't get it.

I've shot a few deer while wearing an orange vest. Camo is the most overrated "must have" hunters buy. IMHO.

Exactly, stroupy. Wind first and movement at archery distances. Movement at ground level is a huge concern for archers not in a dark blind. I do think uncovered faces gave hunters away often.
