any one know how to lower the pull on this trigger. It must be 20 pounds to pull it ?

I would tear down and totally clean and reoil lock which may help. Some locks have a screw in the trigger assembly that will adjust the pull on the trigger and how hard the flint strikes the frizzen(CK your guns Safety Manual). Personally....unless you have experience in tuning locks...I would take to a qualified gunsmith who works on muzzleloaders.. I know most ML mfgrs strongly discourage owners from trying to alter triggers that were factory safety tested.

The Traditions "PA Accelerator" flinter I bought several years ago to have a back up, has an adjustable trigger. Since I adjusted/lubed it and keep it clean, it's a far better rifle than it was.
