What does the back of the barrel on a flintlock look like or do these have a shape ? Like are they tapered or just flat and the flash hole is straight into it ? Wish i could see a drawing of this !

Pic below of typical breech plug which has flat face. They merely screw up against edge of touch hole. I have a breech scraper attachment I use to completely clean the flat surface. Totally different from inline 209 breech plug where fire channel is initiated from 209 VS a barrel touch hole at base(frt surface) of breech plug.

TC Firestorm removable breech plug is a lil different as it's designed to ignite pellets PLUS bp although most use loose powder anyways to better tune their loads plus gain optimum ignition.

On Lyman's, tc, traditions etc it is a patent breech, a roughly .30 hole beyond the "bottom" of the barrel and makes a 90 To the touch home liner.
