And the first hunt outta the new pit blind. Yesterday I put the finishing touches on the pit blind. Today we had two flocks toll to the decoys like long lost relatives. Both birds were banded at Middle Creek, one in 2017, the other in 2010. On a side note, the man on the right is Whitey, at 79 years old he is still getting it done. He shoots trap all the time and it shows when he pulls the trigger. The Geese Drop Like Rain!

How are they as table fair? I was told by someone that they tried making one and it stunk up there kitchen that bad that they will never make one again. My neighbor always makes his into jerky.

Geese are some of the finest eating there is out there, and yes they do make some fine jerky, but there are several great ways to cook them.

Looks like a fun day. And ol Marlborro man is the first person I ever heard say geese are good eatin. Have had the jerky before, and that was not bad at all.
