Fake news! While I'm only a half mile from the Perry line, still in Cumberland County. Although Mark Keller considers me one of his constituents? That's what we told a reporter once at the Capitol, to get shed of her pestering him and then ushered me down to his office. Works fer me. I'd better take an umbrella along tomorrow evening when I head over to the check station, in case they throw me out.

Calling for rain here right about now. Heavy at times, some breaks, showers all day. Yuk!!
Not gonna be a great opening day for thinning out the bears, apparently?
Don't know 'bout anyone else, but a warm, rainy first day for deer season, is about as much fun as waking up Christmas morning and finding no presents under the tree.

Buddy of mine is bear hunting, but with a bow. He is a B&C scorer so he knows what a rough score looks like. He had a 160 inch 10 point at 23 yards this morning dogging two does in this rain.

Much of Purry Cahnty is now infested with people moving up there from the suburbs. And as is usually the case, many of them brought along their own perspectives as to how things should be done. So only a matter of time before it's just like it was where they used to live and the reason why they moved up there.
According to a buddy that's lived up there for over 40 years and now has some (too many) transplants for neighbors, it's raised the edumacashuns level by at least two points. Fortunately he has enough land, that they're not close enough to regularly get on his nerves.
One of my favorite old goat gun club buddies who passed away recently, lived on a farm out towards Loysville for decades.
Some years ago they moved into a newer house in New Bloomfield. Asked him WTH was up with that, said after all the kids were gone, his wife wanted to move into town. Think the ol' boy really missed the farm, but momma ruled.

Lancaster County has over 500,000 people now, 75% are from New Jersey and New York......
