Just got into reloading my own shotgun shells for clay bird shooting; bought a nice used single MEC press and need some tips on POWDER and PRIMERS. Anyone have success with Cheddite primers? If so, could use a few recipes for 12 gauge target shells. Shoot safe and shoot straight.
p.s.
anyone know why Remington 209 primers are so expensive - almost double from every other manufacturer...

I can't help you on shot shells. I shoot skeet on occasion and it's to easy to just buy a case now 'n then. I would bet the Rem 209's are pricey because the in-line muzzle loaders call for that primer. Just my guess.
