Would not it be nice to be able to have a tracking device you could afford installed on tree stands and trail cams ? Then if some one steals them you could track them down ! I have thought about the dye pack things like the banks put on or in money packs in case of a robbery !!!!!

Sure... but obviously it would be cost prohibitive. Moreso one embedded in some of your valuable firearms would be even more useful. Maybe someday as some technology costs keep decreasing it will be a reality though. Interesting thought!

It already exists. You can insert a chip into a dog via subcutaneous injection which can be read by a reader. BUT...you need the dog and the reader in very close proximity' The problem lies with the power source.. to send a signal. The device is here... the batteries need to be developed that would be small enough yet powerful enough and more to last for the life of the product it is designed to protect.
