I have a bunch of scope lens covers that come with the scopes when they come out of the box ! I need to replace the black elastic that holds them on the scope. The ones i have it does not have any stretch left in them. The stretch is out of them I have tried the strecthey rubber ones but these rip for me ! Is there a kind of stuff to replace these things?

go to Walmart... look for the sewing section..ask the nice lady to help you pick out a matching color elastic thread line for your scope covers... basic black goes with everything. But you may want a different color for spring & summer ground hog hunting...
Cut it off shorter than you need (remember it stretches)
poke it through the holes and knot each end.
Or go fo the BIG $$$% and follow the aforementioned advice.

I dunno timber. I think since your at wally world, and the wally Lady knows that department like the back of her hand....well, I'd ask her opinion on color. Like a nice Florescent green?, or maybe something in Bold Blue? A twisting fabric in green and teal (there is no such thing as teal.....I keep telling my wife.....the Art major who just give's me glare's when I say that). So.....don't listen to those guys who say "Black goes with anything." Listen to the Wally Lady. Besides, when you drop the cover at the range.....who would steal it? smileys-whistling-823718

Nobody stole it.The girls were complaining about it.I said the color was an antitheft device.Stopped at the used car dealer once a week for 5 weeks before he came down to my price.First he said he would repaint it to sell it.Didn't happen. Finally said Ok to my offer.(art of the deal?)

Drove that thing from Lititz to State College with a clamshell luggage carrier on the roof and inside filled with daughter and her stuff. On the big mountain west of Lewistown I couldn't get over 40 with it floored. The mountain bikers could have passed me with a little effort.A few years later I owned an '89 Plymouth Voyager.I put the clamshell on the roof and my wife and I spent doe season weekend in my buddy's cabin.I took a doe Monday, fielddressed and cooled her, bent her and stuffed her in the clamshell with a hoist. Then off to State College to bring our youngest daughter home for the holiday break. No problem on the big mountain.
