Heading to Chincoteague for a 5 dayer next week for floundering and crabbing. Looking forward to trying the "red hot" custom Perfectionist Traps my friend will be bringing. Been a Topless T-120 box trap fan for many years but always looking for variety. He tells me they're the best there is......can't wait!! Perfectionist Crab Traps

Trip today to Chincoteague got postponed due to adverse weather of high winds & rain plus my friend has some heart issues. He had shortness of breath & chest pain over the weekend while mowing. He gets a heart catheterization tomorrow. Heart MD wanted to do a bypass 5 years ago but he opted for the less invasive stent procedure. He's in my prayers for a positive outcome.

My friend got good news from his cath!! No problems found plus his 5 year old stents looked good. His chest xray also looked good but cardiologist has referred him to a pulmonologist for further evaluation. We have rescheduled our trip in 2 weeks!! Thanks much for all your thoughts & prayers!

I had this procedure done in 2015, Loggy. It is not all that bad to go through. It seems your friend's results were as good as mine. They found no blockage at all in my coronaries. It is good that his stents are in good shape. The problem with this "getting old" stuff is that the longer it continues, the more likely it is that something's gonna get ya. You have to enjoy life to the fullest whilst you have it.

Been in VA last 2-3 weeks as much of my post retirement time so far this summer has been consumed enjoying the magnificent outdoors leaving minimal keyboard punchin time but on the contrary providing some scrumptious flounder meals coupled with a bountiful supply of crabs & clams!! Hoping to ck in on a more regular basis when the outdoor fun lets up. Flounder fishing has been great and crabbin even greater!! Last time out brought to the steamer 55 nice crabs with throwing back over a hundred which with one more molt will be legal. All were very healthy looking hardshells which is a good sign!! Early we have found the incoming tide to be the most productive as the water temp jumps 5 plus degrees from the warmer marsh drainoff. In a few weeks the incoming tide bringing cooler temp ocean water will be the ticket. Luke's new Perfectionist traps were outstanding with every pull producing at least one crab!! All crabs were full and loaded with backfin meat. My buddy Lukes 20 incher and one i boated.
