HCO1948 By Cutler. Allows any hunter who had purchased a lifetime resident hunting license prior to July 1, 2017 to continue hunting species that may require a permit, previously included under their current license without incurring the additional fee.
* April 26, 2017 03:43 PM * Rep. Bryan Cutler * Permit Exemptions for Senior Lifetime License Holders * In the near future, I intend to introduce legislation to amend Title 34 * with regard to special licenses and permits, providing for permit * exemptions for senior lifetime license holders. * * As you may know, the PA Game Commission recently passed a regulation * requiring pheasant hunters to obtain a $25 permit to hunt pheasants. It * was brought to my attention by a senior resident in my district who had * obtained a senior lifetime resident hunting license that he would now * be required to pay additional fees to hunt pheasant, which had * previously been included in the lifetime resident hunting license. * * This legislation will allow any hunter who had purchased a lifetime * resident hunting license prior to July 1, 2017 to continue hunting * pheasant, or any other species that may require a permit, previously * included under their current license without incurring the additional * fee, as they had expected upon purchasing their license.

Cutler is one of the biggest asses in the legislature.
SO tired of seniors expecting something for nothing. The price of the pheasant stamp is a case of beer.......

And, ya know what, if the PGC ended the phez program, the seniors would whine they are "owed" pheasants....

Yeah.....but.....but....but.....What if you don't drink beer? Everyone has some "vice"..... Look, many seniors have a tough time of it, I gt that. Others tho, are pretty danged wealthy, and $25 is nothing to them. This country faces some challenges in the future and the seniors will be leading the charge to keep us from solving them, and asking future generations to pay. My dad is 89, comes from a generation that didn't bitch much, but the ones coming after him, will raise a fuss over a couple bucks. Just sick of it all. IMO there should NEVER have been lifetime licenses, but that was the legislature making themselves look good, at the expense of future generations. I expect that if I'm ever eligible for a senior license that I will continue to buy the adult license.

Plus, I was trying to see if I could get you to bring a case of beer at the next rip-n-tear meeting. And no cheap stuff!! Hey....it has to be on par with Kathy's cooking. So.....no Iron city....no "Tech".....no..."Coors" 30 Pak stuff!!! stirthepot

Just to chafe your butt a tiny bit, Dutch, Dave is now over 65 and got his senior lifetime license, so now all three of us have on. Crawford doesn't yet. Now, as to the bullshooting get together, it is getting close to time to set a date. I promise that if July or August is when it happens I will have the non-working airconditioner replaced. We are putting a metal roof on the place in June, so that means at least one weekend will be tied up in June, and it all depends upon Crawford and Dave as to when they want to do it. I'm getting a bit long in the tooth to be climbing roofs, so it is up to the younger guys. Any thoughts as to a simply wonderful date to schedule it? I'm open to suggestions, and just about any weekend suits me. I will post this in a thread of its own, not wishing to hijack a wonderful thread on the evils of the senior lifetime license.

In my opinion, there never should have been youth hunts and special cheap lisense for kids. I'm tired of these kids today being pampered and given "Participation Trophies" for everything.

Hasn't been a pheasant in these parts, except those that escaped a pen, for fifteen years. If I want pheasant, I stand a better and cheaper chance of getting a pheasant dinner by raising it in a pen. Been 20 years since I saw a bob white here. And I have left fields go fallow and overgrown to try to attract them. I'll buy the license before the next season, but only because.

Yep, there were always junior licenses, cheaper than adult, and then they came up with the junior combo.
In fact, I bet ole Turkeykiller even had a reduced rate junior license back when he was a kid.
