So, did you turn in your Christmas bird count data? Nah, these aren't migratory. I remember how John Scarbek used to get on my case for not participating in the bird counts.....wonder if he still is so involved?

Looks like a bunch of Christmas cards, lol. Nice Bowbum
Was looking at my feeders today and had a thought. If I relocate them to the side of the house I can shoot with the sun to my back instead of into the sun where they are now. Need to get some branches close to them as well instead of photographing birds sitting on feeders.

If I relocate them to the side of the house I can shoot with the sun to my back instead of into the sun where they are now. Need to get some branches close to them as well instead of photographing birds sitting on feeders. Yes, my goal was simply to "get some pretty fair bird pictures" but now they all have the same setting and background. I modified the hemlock and winterberry holly limbs with some oak limbs added but it still is not natural settings and is very repetitive. Not sure what my goals are....how serious, (depends on level of boredom), I want to be with set ups. My favorites are still the ones taken in the trees by the front porch but the best for bird ID are on the feeders because they are only 8 feet from the window.
