Made my 4th, and probably last, trip up to the elk area for this fall, last weekend. The colors were starting to boom with peak looking to occur during this past week. It has been an a great fall for elk photos and also action I had not anticipated in getting into but led to the meat from a bull elk being divided up among 5 friends and me being able to purchase a very fine set of antlers. This trip was about getting some elk photos with the fall leaf color. I am happy with the results. Handlebars Name That Tune Pie face Foggy Morning Dance Frosted More to come another time.

Outstanding photos, as usual. You and bowbum may have missed your true calling?

Is photography your profession, or a mere hobby ?
Did you get the horns from the gored bull that I 've heard about ?

Is photography your profession, or a mere hobby ? Did you get the horns from the gored bull that I 've heard about ? It's a hobby. Keeps me out of trouble.... most the time. Yes, I was able to purchase the elk antlers from the PGC, much like someone can purchase deer antlers.

Cool pictures. Why don't you just move up there? You hiring? Have a good health plan? I'll stick with my $23/pay, $1500 deductible. Also, if/when I move... it will be much further west then Elk County.

Heard you want to move to Montana someday, so you'll never have to run into me at the hardware store again, or anywhere else?

He was way east of Harrisburg at Hornung's and I found him anyway. Probably goes his shopping in MD now, 'cause I don't go there.
