Always wanted to play with one skwirl but never got around to get'n serious about it. A Ruger No.1A, a Winchester 86, or a Marlin lever always seemed the way to go for me. Just never bit the bullet. A Winchester Mod.71 348 Win. as been on my "sure would be nice to have one" list too...

Just to get you drooling....here's a pic of my 1895XLR in 45-70. It's one of my most favorite rifles (as opposed to like....my "favorite" rifle) and it's just way to much fun to deer hunt with. It just doesn't leave a blood trail. Why?.....'Cause BANG FLOP leave's no room for blood trails. One of the "several" that have made their way to my freezer via the XLR!!!
