I once had a nice 10 point similar looking to him when i first started archery hunting. only got one pic of him before the season opened. I held out all season waiting for him. passed on 3 good 8's 4 6's and a 5 waiting on him. never showed. i gave up on using trail cams after that season. this is the 1st year i have started using them since but i am not going to make the same mistake haha.

It's amazing how much they blow up in one month.. Here he was on July 1 and then how he is on July 31 and he even looks like his tines still may grow a little

Major growth comes in July. By the end of July they are done.
Amazing buck GH. Just nice seeing them like that.
Anyone remember the old saying in PA?
"We don't have the genetics to grow nice bucks."
in 2000, a farmer in Potter told me he wished the PGC would import some "Michigan Bucks" so we would have genes for big bucks.
Wonder what he's saying now?

They have always been in Pa. But kinda hard to get nice bucks shooting them at 1.5 yrs old. I remember the old saying.... Once a spike always a spike. LMAO.

Ya know GH, if you would just give me the GPS on that camera, I would be very happy to take my camera and verify these deer for out members here. After all....if you can't trust a CPA....then who can you trust? Right Loggy? smileys-whistling-823718

Amazing!! Must be excellent minerals/nutrients there for sure. One fine buck there. Not really.I'm pretty sure I know what SGL he's talking about. The size of the bucks have increased tremendously around here. There's less pressure, allowing them to get older and with less deer, there's far better habitat and more food. The deer management plan has been a huge success. We used to weigh every big doe and never once ever had one weigh more than 85lbs.I killed a decent sized doe on the first Saturday last year that my buddy took home.He weighed her when he got home and she weighed just over 100lbs.I know for a fact that we killed 4 others that were significantly bigger. Awesome buck and I hope you get a crack at him.I'm thinking I know which game lands your talking about but it doesn't matter. There's no deer on any of them.
