Well, there were not many ducks around for the nj opener and Annie had trouble figuring out what we were doing. She tried retrieving the decoys, retrieved a shell floating in the water and finally retrieved her 1st duck. Not many retrieves but it's starting to click. Riding up front in the breeze was a big hit.

This morning was clicking on all cylinders, shooting was good and Miss Annie retrieved all 6 Buffys. Felt like I killed a 6 pointer today!

Same view as above, except it was darn windy this day. Looking the other way.

Practice and getting the boat ready to launch. 1st duck on opening day in Coastal NJ. Today it was too cold & windy in the early AM, so we left the dock at 10, setup by 11 and done by 12:30. This cold front brought a pile of ducks into NJ. At 2 years old, Miss Annie performed like an excellent Working Dog today!
