I got a number of cat pics last year, along with yotes and bears. The bait?
I had pile of rocks in front of the camera.
Seems that all investigated that small pile of rocks, for mice, etc. Pile was probably less than 2 feet across. Just rocks we threw out of the food plot. Had several of them along the bottom edge of the plot.

I certainly hope you did not hunt over that bait pile ........ smileys-whistling-823718

Yes, for deer. LOL
Actually the deer loved to investigate. My brother asked me if I put some scent there. I didn't. Maybe the deer were just getting a whiff of the predators in the area.

In the trapping world they are called scent posts.
