It was a busy day at my sportsmans club yesterday. I was squirrel hunting and there was a group of grouse hunters out as well as a group of 4 rabbit hunter.
The guys rabbit hunting had 3 beagles, the oldest and best dogs name is Jack.
Well around 1:00 yesterday they put up a rabbit, while chasing it Jack let out loud yelp.
The 2 younger beagles ran right out of the brush with there tails tucked, they where frightened by something.
Well Jack disappeared, we searched until dark for the dog and couldn't find hide nor hair of him.
The guys where thinking he might have been taken by a Yote or had a heart attack or something.
We took up the search again this morning, assuming we where looking for a dead dog or remnants of a dog. Everyone was pretty bummed out.
While around noon Ole Jack came climbing out from under a trailer. He was visibly shaken by his ordeal, but he was intact and happy to see us.
We still have no Idea what scared the Bejesus out of them, what ever was in that patch of briars, they wanted nothing to do with.
Finding that dog alive really made for a great day today!

As the former owner of a beagle I am glad to hear this. Don't know what would have scared them either.

I'm thinking Jack should get his pension early.
