I've always found liver shots to be quick 'n dead. Liver shots can vary greatly. My son hit a buck the year before last in the liver and it was still alive 12 hours later and could still raise it's head up. We went back several hours later and it expired. Now I have seen some liver shots that expired quickly.

As I understand biology, all blood flows thru the liver. So, it follows that a hit by arrow or bullet to the liver, and blood loss occurs rapidly. I know that when I field dressed these deer, I've had internal bleeding flow like a river upon opening 'em up.

Never used them.Just one of those lines in the sand I said I'd never cross. What changed Doug? A few years ago,my kid shot a doe with a crossbow. The light was dim,he thought he hit it perfect but we couldn't find the bolt.We found the deer the next morning but pushed it a little bit the night before.Had I found the arrow and had he been 100% sure of where he hit it,we wouldn't have chanced pushing it.

Picked up a pack of the Glory Nocks. Don't see getting them again. Sent 1 back because it stopped after about 6 shots. Another works intermittently. The plunger gets stuck inside the nock. The third has worked like a charm.
I don't like that they are not secure on my bowstring though either. They are like half secure but will come off if I bounce the bow around.
I'll use for target practice but use Nockturnals for hunting.

Not sure which ones, I have used several brands including Lumenok and Nockturnal and one other cheaper nock I can't remember. They are a little expensive, around $7-8 a piece on Ebay. I did find an interesting ad on Ebay for 12 Lighted nocks. Probably Chinese, but if they work?? www.ebay.com/itm/12-PCS-Automatically-LED-Lighted-Arrow-Nocks-Tail-for-Crossbow-Arrows-ID-244/392010378061?var=&hash=item5b45a3ab4d
