We added another sponsor to the forum. It's the Hunting Preserve that Mutt took his setter to Mugs. Remember advertising is free and it has to be hunting/fishing/outdoor related.
Thanks,
Stroupy/Dutch

Hmmm.. "Royal" hunting preserve.. do they serve "Crown Royal" during happy hour? Mutt needs to schedule an outing at the Preserve for some of the old farts here that are willing to put politics aside and enjoy the dogs and birds.. I can wear my new British Upland Bird Hat.. Attachment Deleted

Mugs highly recommends this outfit, folks. If anyone has questions about it, he will be happy to answer them. You can contact Mugs by dropping me a message and I will pass your questions on to him.
Glenn, a great suggestion. If we can set something up, I can surely arrange some good bourbon, some crown royal, and possibly a decent scotch for libations after a hunt. We can gather in my man cave/trophy room.

I really think we should try to schedule some outings for this grumpy old bunch. I have been thinking about trying to get a few together for a fishing trip on the bay, or if some want to buy licenses a goose outing here in Maryland. I have the property. Only cost would be licenses. I can also put a few fellers up. My upstairs bedrooms have numbers on the doors.. Looks like a bird hunt at Royal would be about $150 a man. Not a bad deal for a day of dogs, pheasants, and a little story telling and laugh at each others shotgun skills..

It depends upon what you would want to hunt and how many you would want to get put out for you, Glenn. This is a great idea. Mugs said he will volunteer his services for a group of us. I will take a day off from my other pursuits when it suits a bunch of you old grumps to get together. I may be able to put a few up for a night in my hovel, but no numbers on the rooms. stirthepot No hunting license is needed on a PA shooting preserve such as this one.
By the way, I like the idea of a goose hunt. The price of a license is no big deal.

I would be open for an outing amongst us here!! I'm open for anything....goose hunt, Royal United Reserve etc. Mebbie just after our hunting seasons. Of course..... such would be predicated upon NO discussion of politics or no beating up on the IRS please!!

Now don't you ever say nothing about Gal... as I understand she has worn the Marine medallion. Nobody stands higher in my book of respect.

I like watching hairy dogs work. Don't need to shoot, just like watching them work. Now, if a kid does the shooting, that's super.

First time I ever went grouse hunting was with Grouse28. First shot, and a grouse fell to the ground. First time I ever went woodcock hunting, I killed two of them, with him witnessing the fine shooting. He hasn't been "right" since.

Speaking of shooting skills, my ten year old Grandson won second place skeet and third place overall at the Maryland 4H youth clay crushers competition last week. He is beginning to look like a real shooter! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using proboards
