Hi,
I just used this yesterday and it's my first time ever using a ground blind. I have a bad knee and try to stay away from tree stands if I can and the location I have been hunting in doesn't have a great place for a stand. It's at the bottom of a hill and once the deer climb up the hill they are at eye level with you and hollering as much as they can.
I picked it up at Dick's Sporting Goods and their website had it at $59.99, but in the store it was $49.99 and I had a $10.00 coupon, so it was a good deal.
It's small, only a 1 person blind and does not have screens, but the set up is easy and fast. It weighs 9 lbs.
Just pull it out of the carrying bag, let it pop open and put some ground stakes in and you're ready to go.
I'm 5"9" and sitting on a 5 gallon bucket there's room for me, my gear and the crossbow.
There are 4 zippered windows that are a decent size. It comes with the carrying bag, ground stakes and high wind tie down ropes.
Putting it away is a little strange as you have to fold it in half while rotating it and making another bend it goes back to size needed to go in the carrying case.
The instructions that come with it are not good about this, but there's a good Utube video on how to do it that's only about 45 seconds long and is much better then the instructions.
I set it up yesterday and while in it I did not see any deer, but other wildlife, squirrels, birds were coming right up and not getting spooked.
If squirrels were in season I would have had a nice dinner !
It's early yet, but I think I'll like this for hunting.
