Was at a local bow shop and picked up a card reader that hookes up to your Android phone to view trail cam SD cards. $19 for a cable that hooks to the phone. Called the PhoneREAD'R. www.whitetailr.comUsed an SD card from a regular camera and it showed the pics on my Gallery. This will allow me to see what is on a camera without going back to camp to view the cards. If a camera is in a poor location or poorly aimed, it can be adjusted or moved right then and there. Will see how it works next time we check cams upstate.

Good tool. Although my favorite is a Covert Black Ops camera that sends me pictures in real time over the cell phone network.

That thing is great, I am always finding cameras in the woods, you could check their cards, add a couple mountain lion pics from your phone to their card, maybe a grizzly or two!
But really that could be a really handy thing to carry, instead of replacing cards every time, I will be getting one.

I'm not sure how well it downloads to a phone, but I have lots of spare SD cards, so, we just swap them out.
For my use, just seeing ahead of time so we know to move the cam is a big help.
Sometimes you get back to camp to find not a heck of a lot on the card of interest.
The other card viewers are pretty expensive, this is 20 bucks.

Im sure new software will become available.
I hate when I put a camera out and miss a small twig that triggers the camera with every breeze. EEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

WOW! Nice product.
Used it this weekend, saw, in the field, what was on the cameras.
Am able to save all pics from the cards to the phone, or save just selected pics.
VERY happy. Best $20 bucks I spent in a while.
Also reads mini SD cards, it appears.

Do they have one of these for real phones like iPhones? Edit: Just checked......none for real phones. Besides....they are completely sold out. Even their expensive $80 walk up close and it will "Gamma Ray" the images to your IPhone product is sold out. I likely wouldn't spend $80 on that anyway. I would likely buy another camera.....but heck....I don't use the one I have now!!!! True story on my old Android phone: I got a new one when I re-uped a contract. Had it for about 6 months and it tanked. Verizon sent me 6 (yes six) "rebuilt" (as per their contract they will send only rebuilds...no new) and each one within 3 days did the same crash and burn. I "screamed" for an upgrade phone or a new one. They sent me an upgraded phone. I finally got a good working rebuilt phone......after going thru (and this is no BS) 17 ....(yes, Seventeen) replacement phones. Each and every phone did the exact same thing. It took about a month and a half to get the 17th phone. Don't even ask about the non-usage during that time period. It's in the "contract". You know.....the one nobody reads when they buy the contract. I got IPhones from then on. FWIW

I have a small Sony camera...the point and shoot type. I just put my trailcam SD card into the camera and can view all the pic's. Cost = zero. Try it you'll like it.

Trail cam cards do not go into my camera.
Can copy photos I want to keep right then and there if I like.
Also makes sending pics to others much easier if it's in the phone.

Well, after using this reader this fall, I would recommend it to anyone that uses trail cams.
Pretty handy.

If you buy sd cards with the micro sd card, you can put the micro right into your smart phone and you don't need to buy this at all though. Just a tip.
