My ole food saver gave out during the last batch of fish/crab meat I was processing. It served me well the past 5 years & owed me nuttin!!
Looking for a heavy duty vac seal.
Curious on all your experiences with these, favorites, likes/dislikes etc??
Thanks!!

I'm sure there are other brands on the market but I've owned two FoodSavers. The first one didn't hold up under the type of constant use we put it through so I bought a heavy duty one. Don't recall the model but it vacuums and seals quicker. Always make my own bags as well.

Thanks Dan!! Curious how you make your own bags? I'm looking at The Professional Model: Item model number: FSFSSL0320-000. It's supposed to be heavy duty.

Well, when I say I make my own bags, I use the standard widths of material available and make the bags as long as I need them. I've seen bags for sale that you buy that already have one end sealed and all you have to do is fill it and seal it. I found that a lot of the food I was vacuum sealing didn't fit the standard bags so I started making my bags to the length I needed them. Heck, maybe they don't even offer the bags for sale anymore. I know they used to when I started using the FoodSaver.
