Letting Milkweed grow everywhere I can is finally starting to pay off. This week I've seen the most Monarch butterfly caterpillars ever. With their numbers diminishing it feels good to give these amazing creatures a little help in surviving.

We are letting the milkweed grow anywhere we can on our land to try helping them too. We haven't seen any results so far. One of my elementary teachers(3rd grade?) had a terrarium in her classroom where she would let us put any chrysalis we found and we watched the butterflies emerge.
Seeing what is happening to the monarchs is a good illustration of how fast mans activities can effect the natural world. If we wait 'til it effects only the game we hunt, it will be too late.
