Deer love soybeans. Eat the new plants and later when the plants dry and turn brown in late season they come back. Great late season food source.

Saw a video from Grant Woods how many they can eat in one sitting. Wonder how one can plant enough to have enough to maintain a population.

Upper half of the plot was mostly a failure, so, yesterday I sprayed it with Roundup. It will be seeded with brassica in 2 weeks, then the lower half will also be over seeded with brassica.

Seems like you have a decent buck population up there. Should be able to get one sooner or later.

I planted 2 acres of those beans they got about 6 inches tall before the deer found them. As of today the field is barren, they ate everything but the stems!
I'm going to disc them under and plant winter wheat.

This is an acre. Poorly planted because I really don't have the equipment for beans, and I am rushed, due to time and distance, with field prep.
The beans in one area seem to be growing past the deer pressure now tho.

I lease a field to a farmer who planted it in soy beans this year. There are deer in that field everyday, usually every morning 'till around 8:00 and again from around 3-4:00 'till near dark. The other times it was planted in beans, the deer rarely hit them 'til around Christmas.
