Bowbum.....seems the deer in your neck of the woods carried over fairly well this past winter per TC pics plus spring gobbler sightings? Interested on your read. The area when i have the cam placed is on the edge of a small clearing surrounded by a heavy hemlock stand on one side & a a spring head on the other. In heavy snow conditions the deer always seem to migrate to this area plus its consistently been a good pressure spot. I love them natural edges.

True, our deer fared well and we know of 5 fawns right here and several more close by in the neighborhood. We aren't seeing the turkeys we had been seeing but that is normal for this time of year. We see them spring, winter and fall, but seldom during summer. All-in-all wildlife numbers and conditions seems really good. Our bear count is down from previous years, (only saw two here), but they'll be on the move now with breeding season so maybe we'll see a few more. For sure edges are great places for wildlife.

Thanks for the report Bowbum... This guy has been a nuisance for the last two weeks. I ran him off the porch once, and since then he skirts the house by about 45 yards. Yesterday I watch a doe take off on a panic run and looked, (3 p.m.), and he was about 20 yards from the porch. I fired two rounds of 12 ga. rubber pellets at him to get him going but he didn't seem too concerned.
