Too bad this one did not have some more points. Only a seven.. barely legal in the old PA four point zones.
Actually a young deer. Hindsight is always 20-20 but I wonder what he would have looked like in another year or two??
He is about 24 inches wide outside.

Very nice Glen. How old do you think he is? I'm going to guess 3.5 or 4.5

From the length of the nose and general overall body, I would bet he is only 2.5! And he only dressed 129. This buck was killed in Queen Annes county MD. 18 month old bucks sometimes dress this heavy. He appeared to be in excellent health other than a couple weeks into the rut when we all know they lose some weight. Most 2.5 bucks dress in the 140's. No matter, he is a nice buck and I did drop him off at the Taxidermist.. I wonder how big the buck was that got by me before I shot this one??

His antler mass tells another story Glenn. Do you have the lower jawbone, or can the taxi save it for you? I'd like to age that one. Thanks! And yes, he is a very nice buck!

Congrats! Seems like all of his energy went to growing that rack. Lean and mean otherwise, no? Or, maybe he's famished from propagating some good genes?!

Jawbone inspection appears to be a 3.5. But a bit of a lightweight.. guess he has been partying the last couple weeks..
