While checking my one food plot, my brother reported watching a hen grouse and ELEVEN little ones cross the trail in front of him!
Mile away, he saw a hen with six.
Hope that second warmest May on record helped the grouse.

Where we have habitat,we still have decent grouse numbers around here.Last week my son and I were riding 4 wheelers along a tight trail and a grouse came running right at us,apparently offended by our presence.We see that every year and it never gets old.
