Just putting it out there.
Tons of links get posted here with no content of the actual link posted in the thread. Many, myself included, will not open links from sources we are not familiar with for security reasons.
Just saying. I don't read the content of 99% of the links that get posted. Would be nice if the article was posted along with the link as a source.

And many times when I copy and paste the article, it takes time to fix the spacing and edit out other garbage.
Anyway, I fixed the last posting about CWD.

Your point is well-taken, Gene. My pet peave is when someone copies something from a source and then does not provide a link or a citation as to who wrote it or where it came from.

No, Dutch. That is not correct. My peave is that if you post the article you must post a link. That woud satisfy Gene, since he does not care to go to links but would like to read the article. It satisfys me since I value the copyright laws. Can't you see that?

It satisfys me since I value the copyright laws. Can't you see that? Ditto. Especially when the post includes only an excerpt from the reference. Include the link. I also have a tendency to ignore the link without at least a hint why i should go there. . Too many sites just love you clicking on their link so they can aggravate you with pop up ads and other bs.

Like I said, when I copy and paste some articles, I have to spend gobs of time editing them so they look and read right. I don't always have that time, nor the inclination to make people happy. I have a job where all I do is try to make people happy. This is not a job where I get paid, so, sometimes, I opt for expediency.

Links take up little site "space". Entire articles do.

Well, copyright infringement is the greatest threat to all of us who use these forums.
Is simply saying something like: "From the reliable and nonpartisan source-Foxnews", when posting part of an article enough?
We know that some of us could try to profit from just posting some info found on the net. And it certainly enrages published authors, which I could certainly understand if someone had the true intent of passing some other's work off as his own.
