The final week of archery deer season was great at Camp Rip-N-Tear. On Thursday, November 8, Larry dropped this great eight point: On Friday, I had a chance at a smaller eight point, but with plenty of time to decide, did not drop the hammer. He will make some lucky hunter happy during rifle season. With three deer from South Carolina in the freezer, I am not feeing much pressure to fill tags. On Saturday, Dave made his first kill with his crossbow, a smallish sort of doe, and then on Monday Morning at 7:05 AM, a nice seven point became his second bow kill in two days of hunting. I am taking a day off to restock Doris' wood supply and fill coal buckets so she won't suffer from the cold, and will return to camp tomorrow. Larry and I will try to score on a bear this week and then camp fills with bear hunters on Saturday. George

So glad you had a good time George. That buck of Larry's is a dandy!
Congrats to Dave too!

Sounds like a lot of fun! Background scenery in photos looks great. Reminds me of the days when I used to spend every deer rifle season in "God's Country".
Congrats to all..
