Posted earlier in the deer hunting thread but thought our taxi forum would it's best home after recently viewing Stroup's post here inasmuch as not many buck mount pics being posted here from our 2014 season!!! My 2014 Sullivan County 9 PT European Mount was done by Taxidermist Corey Gladfelter Red Lion, PA 717-244-2245. Corey is one fine taxi! He will be getting all my future work per my review of the magnificent mounts displayed in Corey's showroom!! Have him temporarily hanging w/some 50lb mono till I make some more room for some of my my deer mounts.

Is his prices reasonable? Had a guy tell me that you have to spend money to get a quality mount. After seeing mine done for $450 he now has changed his tune!

Is his prices reasonable? Had a guy tell me that you have to spend money to get a quality mount. After seeing mine done for $450 he now has changed his tune! Corey's price for Euro Mount was $150 which included walnut plaque plus brass name plate. Think his full shoulder mount is in the $600 range. Your fine taxi job done for $450 is a real bargain fer sure!! Back when my Taxi Dad was living all my mounts were free! After Dad's passing I took several to Ness Taxidermy & paid in the $600-$700 range for shoulder mount.. Went to Ness cause Dad said if he couldn't do it... go to Ness!! They are top shelf but a lil pricey!! Ness Taxidermy
Corey came on the scene since Dad's passing & im sure he would get Dad's full approval!!

Yes...Ness is top shelf. Had quite of few jobs done by them & always first class quality. I was impressed with the pics of the work that Wilson Taxidermy did for you & your Dad especially that whole bear mount!!

I had a buck mounted 2 years ago and it was $450.I had my son's gobbler mounted by the same guy last year for $450.A buddy of mine works for him and he cleans skulls on the side.He charges $60 for the skull and $25 for a nice plaque. We have several taxidermists around here locally but this guy mounts 400+ deer each year.He does so much volume that he can keep his prices down a little.I had a different guy mount a gobbler for me about 5 years ago and his turkeys are around $600.I think he does better with some things but not enough to warrant that much of a price difference.

Yeah Doug ...turkey mounts can get a lil salty. My Dad did a couple flying turkey mounts which came out pretty nice.
My Euro mount included cleaning, bleaching, sealing skull plus mounting on walnut plaque including inscribed brass name plate. Not sure if i will get anuther shoulder mount done. Sorta have enuff hangin around plus my Mrs ain't real keen on my mounted critters taking over things!! lol
