The North American Fur Auction wild fur sale in Toronto started today. I had a damaged red fox move for $8.00 but the prices didn't look half bad for reds. Top Lot scored $94.00!

Didn't see either of the two guys out this year, who usually take some reds on our club property. One guy was tied up with other things and probably had traps out on his own property in Perry county?
No idea why the other one wasn't at it? Sure wasn't a lack of foxes.

The unfortunate thing about the downward trend of fur prices is trapper participation will also drop which will cause predator numbers to increase which will not be good for the small game numbers. I didn't do that well this past season due to the brutal winter weather.
