Well I finally got a few fox sets in on Jan. 19 and with nothing but tough trapping weather ahead. I put 4 dirthole sets in on 78 acre property a 1/2 mile from my driveway. After 28 checks (snapped them for a few days to go snowmobiling) I ended up with 10 reds and 2 coon. Unless the prices go crazy these are being shipped out to be made into hats and scarfs for my two ladies and a Musher hat for me to wear trapping and flintlock hunting. And my trapping partner, My 8 yr olf daughter, wants 2 to hang in her room. So her favorite 2 will just get tanned. Thanks for looking! LB

Always enjoyed the pics you posted here of your daughter. Way to start them early.
My brother got otters down in N. Carolina. I believe they intend to have them tanned, then sell them that way.

Beautiful looking fox Longbeard! Congrats on the success despite the weather. Good prime fox are still moving at the auctions but not at levels they were in 2013.

Always enjoyed the pics you posted here of your daughter. Way to start them early. [/quote/] Thanks Dutch. "Bubb" didn't wanna get in any pics this year because with every catch it was either very cold and windy or windy and snowing. We had plans to run a much longer line this year but she has gotten so involved with indoor target archery . She shoots on the Lancaster Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) team at Lancaster archery. She shoots in the Yoeman division, female compound. She's been shooting 400-500 arrows a week as we are at the range 4 nights a week & practice on Sundays at home. That doesn't leave much time for skinning! This weekend she is shooting in the FITA Pa state championship competition. We all are hoping for great results but either way she's a champion in our eyes and we couldn't ask for a child to be more involved in the outdoors and shooting sports then ours. Just a joy to watch her do the things mom and dad love to do.

I did manage to find one pic of "Bubb" and my nephew Gaige with our first fox of the season on Jan. 20th.
