Excellent! This is the 75th anniversary of PR funding as well. We really need to motivate one another to getting back to the North American model concept!

Why have we slipped away from the model? Rack Fever? Canned Hunts? Too much Commercialization (gear, stuff)? Ted Nugent (just kidding, sort of)?

I think because we haven't had the serious issues like we had back then. Well, we've had them- but PFSC has truly done such a good job of beating the issues down; many before they were even introduced at the capitol; that many have lost sight that we are constantly under attack; even from within.
For example, hunters have introduced the IRRC bills. They do this without regard to the future of hunting (or angling)- and without the PFSC's legislative alerts; there is a great chance these bills would have gotten "legs"
For a little while, I was to the point of allowing a bill like that to go through- or not fighting it; just so sportsmen and women would "get it" again; and then work my rear off to get it reveresed.
I do think the commercialization too has something to do with it, but more than anything its the complacent attitude among hunters; and they simply don't know (or care) what is happening.
