Haven't trapped for many years but recently visited North East Trade Company near Muncy, PA for some blackpowder supplies & found they also served trappers!! Appeared they had an outstanding trappers supply in addition to blackpowder hunters needs.
Just though id pass this contact along to any into trapping:

Always enjoy giving local businesses a "plug".
While other sites may frown on a little free advertising, I think it serves our members well to know what is out there, locally.

If any of you guys have though of either starting trapping for the first time, or getting back into it, I have to say that I recommend it. I did trapping 40 some years ago....so it's safe to say that I didn't remember a thing about it. So, this is really all new to me. Now, I've only set out a few traps so far and just locally, but yesterday I got my second gray fox. So, today the "big plan" is to get out where I've seen fox "doo-doo" (hey, kids could be reading ) and lot's of coyote track. So....dawn (is that the right spelling?) the rubber gloves, rubber boots (muck boots), knee pad mat, I'll see if my good fortune continues!! BTW, Longbeard was a great source of information for me. So, I give full credit of these two catches to him!! Thanks LB!! Dave

I must have started about the same time as you dave. Youtube videos certainly shorten the learning curve for folks who want to start trapping today. I think a bunch of old traps have been put back into action over the last few years. While I set fewer traps every year, two of my sons always put some out after deer season.
