I heard from two different people that a bobcat got trapped accidently on the neighbors farm and was a big one, likely this guy.

Great pics! I especially like the one buck you likened to an Iowa buck. That buck is truly a mature king of the woods. An incredible trophy for someone. However, other than stupidity during the rut, he may well die of old age and rot away in some lost swamp or thicket..

However, other than stupidity during the rut, he may well die of old age and rot away in some lost swamp or thicket.. I think you are on to something Glenn. I have two pics of this deer, this one and one the same night after dark. It's early enough in the year that he probably wasn't roaming that much. He probably just spends most of his time hiding in some nasty stuff and avoids the higher traffic areas of our property. I'm pretty sure my jaw hit the ground when that pic came up. I've shot some big PA bucks and have hunted Iowa and that's the first deer I've seen with a body like a mature mid-West buck. He's an easy 225# field dressed. The rack ain't too bad either, lol.

I like that first one Bake. (Well, I like the pic....not that he has a bird in his mouth). I posted this one in the trapping forum. I set the trap on a Tuesday, and got up Wednesday am and this guy was in it!!! I'm hoping with some more diligence the turkey flocks will get a bit bigger. I need to get thru this weekend of my daughter's wedding then I can "have at it."
