Just wondering, is it leagl to carry a rifle for turkeys this weekend and a crossbow at the same time for deer?
I'm thinking not, but, it'll take me forever to find the answer in the regs book.
Now wait, I think it is legal.
Anyone have an answer?

I do not believe so, Dutch. As far as I am aware the only time someone that is archery hunting deer during the existing archery season can carry a firearm not meant for personal protection is during the early muzzleloader season.

Yeah, I knew that, but not sure about this weekend. If you intend to shoot a deer with a crossbow if one happens to wonder by, you cannot have a firearm with you with the exception of a muzzleloader during the early season. Not legal this weekend as far as my understanding of the regs go.

shoot the turkey with your crossbow I was asking for my brother, who is gonna hunt turkeys this weekend, but he's also going to be in a pretty nice travel corridor for deer. A crossbow turkey would be cool tho......

A crossbow turkey would be cool tho...... One of the coolest things I did was start hunting srping gobblers exclusively with the crossbow. A hard decision and hard to succeed but the rewards have been great.

What if 2 people are sitting together, say a father and son. Can you have 2 different weapons. Just wondering.
