My brother and his buddies are heading up for their yearly long weekend of grouse/woodcock hunting. I wish I could join them. Good fun last year when we went.

They hunted Friday and Saturday. Dave actually killed a grouse! Tom Kotay got one as well. Dave scored on a woodcock, on Saturday. They had a number of flushes of grouse. 15 maybe?

I should have taken the shotgun out this weekend. Of course, I was treated to watching 2 grouse feeding in front of my blind. Closest they got was about 6 feet. Pretty cool. Saw one Friday evening and 2 Saturday evening. Flushed a couple as I was walking in and out of stands. Of course, I coulda had my limit of them.
