And busted out of jail. Box was pried open and somehow the camera was ripped out. The python lock wasn't cut and it had gone through the camera case so they must have broken the case of the camera too. I was really looking forward to seeing what was on that card too. *banghead*

Happened to me too two summers ago. Got the blood boiling for a while. I left a note where the cam had been telling the thief that I'd be looking for any stands in archery season so beware. Said something about paybacks... I was nice and put a smiley face on it! lol Box lid was pried open and the camera smashed and card gone. I still use a python lock sometimes but don't go in hock for a metal box anymore as they're a waste of money except for bear protection. What I learned was that if someone really wants your cam or destroy it they will; just the nature of the game. Muab

I think a lot of trail cameras grow legs simply because some trespasser walked by and knew he was caught.. best thing is to take the camera and the evidence..

This is my best guess as to what happened. I doubt anyone carried a pry bar with them so they probably got their pic taken and decided tome back later to destroy the evidence. I'll never know though....
