was wondering how much a shoulder mount normally runs When my taxi Dad was living mine were FREE but since his passing I have Ness Taxidermy do all my work. Dad always said if he couldn't do the work...take it to Ness. See a shoulder mount is $500 at Ness. I've had quite a few deer etc done by them & they are top shelf.

I just had a full strut gobble mount done for my son's spring gobbler and it was $450.I had one done a few years ago by a different guy and paid about the same but he charges over $600 now.Usually you get what you pay for when it comes to taxidermy. The guy I took the turkey to does a good job with deer.He does over 400/year but I haven't seen many of his turkeys.
The buck I got mounted two years ago had both sides of his rack busted off.I didn't think he'd be able to fix it but it turned out better than I thought.I think he only charged me $50 to fix the rack.

thanks guys..... i have wondered and was pretty shure i could find an answer on here..... if i get a nice buck i think it is well worth the money if you think its a trophy.. some people consider one a trophy others would pass it up. i think all deer are trophys but what i mean as getting one mounted is if its a true trophy to be proud of

I usually pay $400 for top quality work.
This past year I wanted a buck mount with an "open mouth" and it cost a few dollars more for the plastic mouth insert, but was worth it.

First one I paid $160. Butcher cut too far and Taxi had to dress it a bit by darning, so he charge me an extree $10. Last one I got was either $300 or just a tad more. Haven't had one done in better than 10 yrs though.
