This looks like a big bear to me but I'm no expert and it's head on and fairly close to the camera. Anyone guess how big? I wouldn't want to drag him too far!

Bake; that is a hard one. I'm pretty good with weights- but the angle is awful. I'll say 140-240.

It is really hard to judge from the view presented, but because this particular bear does not appear to have the BROAD shoulders that a large boar usually has, I will guess 250 pounds. A really large bear presents a wide profile, belly nearly dragging on the ground, and a huge head with what appear to be small ears.

The camera is set to a 3 shot burst and they were all from head on. I wish I had a better pic. I've been getting lots of bear pics lately, they really seem to be on the move.

Yes, it didn't even touch it. I had close bear pics on the 3 cameras I checked yesterday and they didn't touch any of them. Hope that keeps up  |

I received a PM from an "unknown source" that stated that was no bear, but it was actually Dutch before his morning coffee. *rant* I dunno how true that is, I'm just sayin....... stirthepot
