Moved a dead 'yote from the road this morning. 'Bout a forty pounder.
Coming from Cameron St. in Harrisburg towards I-81, cars stopped in the middle of the road (all three lanes) and some close calls with others dodging around them.
Someone had just hit the 'yote, thought it was a dog. Pulled onto the berm, put four ways on and retrieved shovel from truck bed. Someone pulled up to me that had been sitting there in traffic, said it had just been moving a bit, but it was daid when I poked it mit der shovel.
Chucked it under the guardrail and continued my trip home. Second one I've seen in that same area in the past several years.
Last time, I notified Neville that one of their song dogs must've escaped from the holding pens out behind PGC/HQ, because I'd seen one at the Elmerton Avenue/Cameron St. intersection.

Did you check the tatto under it's upper lip.
The PGC has all of them numbered.

Didn't even look to see if'n it was male or female. Too much traffic drama on the scene.
Maybe I'll run over there early in the morning and check for tattoos, to see which Ins. Co. it was "sponsored" by?

Shoulda waited for PETA to show up, looking to file charges of inhumane treatment of the "dog's" owners ?

I believe I'd set a trap about 20 yards on the other side of the guardrail. Check it on a daily basis. After all......it's not like you don't know they aren't around.
