No, not all baby-boomer's are close to 70. I am a baby-boomer, and I'm closer to the 50 spectrum. Do you think all baby-boomers are 67 or 68 ? I believe the very last year considered "baby-boom" is 1963 or 1964 ?
Why do you have such a STRONG proclivity to argue EVERYTHING Mr. Johns ? You come on the thread and toss out terms and words that are meaning to incite, for the simple reason of goading one into an argument. Words like "insulting" and "condescending". For the most part, threads and posts can remain cordial and adult-like, the they go straight to SH&* when you feel like starting a gosh-derned argument. Take a deep $%%^$# breath, and go back and read every swingin post we all made. All very cordial and adult-like until BANG.
What the crap. They produce meds. that actually make people, that otherwise wouldn't, smile every once in a while. Those very same pills can even turn sour folks so nice at times, that they can carry on very congenial conversation and in an adult-like fashion. Just sayin. banghead
RELAX JohnS. Not everybody was put on this earth just to Pizz you off. confused-smiley-013
Phew, that feels bettter.... those pills really work. I had to pop 5 of them. Give me your home address. I'll send you some. They're on me. coffeespit

I guess the truth incites you. If you can't or won't understand that assuming people of a certain age find it insulting when people just assume they will be grateful for help they don't need, you will one day. As far as arguing, I could say the same to you, I also suspect I am in a better position to understand how seniors feel that you do. Language meant to incite? Really? Perhaps you get incited over truthful statements, not one of my statements in this thread were indended to incite anyone. They were intended to cause people to open their eyes. None of the statements was about your past support for excluding seniors from AR, you explained that many posts ago. I think you should take a breath and rethink your thinking. I may however, get out of breath from your interpretation of what I said.

You used these words in a couple posts John. "insulting" and "condescending". They aren't my words. And no, I don't think my hopes of about a decade ago, of wanting to see WWII generational hunters get a break on AR like the kiddo's, was neither "insulting", nor "condescending. You, are now speaking for them, and I believe you are wrong. Just speaking with that generation of fellas about 12 years ago, they as a group, were not for AR. THEY, are not YINZ. Yinz, are the current group of so-called seniors. THEY were your fathers. I fully understand that you, Denny, Muttley, bowbum, do not want AR exemption. I'm with "yinz". In the past, I was stumping for my Unc. I know of other current Seniors that were stumping for their longtime hunting companions also. One beig GlennD for his pap. I would have liked to seen them exempt by specific age, moreso than the term "Senior". Back then, I guess it would have been mid-late 70's and older, to only include those of the WWII generation, and keep the lot of you current Senior belly-achers out of the fray. What The....... I hope my knickers still fit as loose in a few years down the road, as they do now.
HOPEFULLY this thread will not continue to devolve ? I can care less if it stays open or not, seein's how Melody was gracious enough to give a detailed timeline of the bill. But being how participation in any hunting-related websites seem to be waning, maybe even "bad press is good press" ? confused-smiley-013

I agree John but most shouldn't be allowed to drive lol. I've been thinking about retro fitting old Catlacks say 1976 thru 89 with blue tooth technologies, should be a hit in south Florida!

I agree John but most shouldn't be allowed to drive lol. Are you trying to say seniors should follow antler restrictions because so many of them whack deer with their cars anyhow? Why not make it that they have to use their tags. LMAO2

Why is it seniors become incensed when there are special accomodations for them, then turn around and buy a senior license? LMBO.
Ya'll can take this to the bank, I will NEVER buy a senior license, nor take a senior discount.
I have opposed special consideration all my life and want no parts of it in my later years.
The Greatest Generation, in general, did not feel entitled.
The Baby Boomers, as a generation, DO!
All I hear from them is "I'm owed."

If any one out there is owed, its me! Send any and all you can spare, I promise to spend it wisely and only on American made products that are taxed by the Pittman-Roberts tax, and will benefit wildlife for ever.
Thank all!

Moderated forums are like having Democrats in office.....someone always trying to decide whats in my best interest. Perhaps because the greater good is slightly more important than YOU?

I THINK you mabe be alluding to SocialmeSecurity Dutch, and if so, well, as a "Boomer" I WANT WHAT THEY TOOK FROM ME. I've got 30+ years of getting hit very heavy by ole Uncy Sam, and I want it back. Lump sum would be just fine upon my retirement, and I won't charge them back interest. I'd be more than happy to call it even. Something tells me though, that I'll never be able to recoup what they owe me. I just don't feel that lucky. Wow, this thread can REALLY devolve if we stay on this subjects path.
